Drawer Construction
This is an 8 hour class. It is a full day event with a break for lunch. Class size is limited to four students and covers layout, sizing, and joinery techniques. Each student will build a machine dovetailed drawer assembled in the classic tradition. See photos of our wood shop work area here!
Jigs and Fixtures
Those of us who are experienced in working with stationary power tools know that for a variety of joinery and for many cuts, a jig or fixture is a safety measure. These “extra hands” can also be a simple method to accomplish repeatable cuts and joints.
This is a 4 hour class. Class size is limited to four students and covers project layout and safe operation of machine tools. Each student will learn how to use and for which applications various jigs and fixtures are best incorporated. See photos of our wood shop work area here!
Mortise and Tenon Joinery
This is an 8 hour class. It is a full day event with a break for lunch. Class size is limited to four students and covers layout, sizing, and joinery explanations. Each student will construct a mortise and tenon joint using both machine tools and hand tools. See photos of our wood shop work area here!
Raised Panel Doors
The art of making raised panels is simply performing three routing operations to create the three elements that make up the project. This is an 8 hour class. It is a full day event with a break for lunch. Class size is limited to four students and covers layout, sizing, and joinery techniques. Cutting Circles on the Band Saw
This is an 8 hour class. It is a full day event with a break for lunch. Class size is limited to four students and covers layout, sizing, and jig construction. Each student will construct a circle cutting jig and use it to cut a circle on the band Saw. See photos of our wood shop work area here!
Router Table Techniques
This is an 8 hour class. It is a full day event with a break for lunch. Class size is limited to four students and
covers router table safety, set up, and applications. Each student will set up several bits in the router and use
the router table to make a variety of cuts. See photos of our wood
