Classes
Take advantage of this unique opportunity to develop your woodworking ability. We can help you acquire the skills to properly use first quality tools and to successfully deal with a wide variety of joinery projects. All classes and seminars are scheduled by appointment only. Classes are tailored to each student's level of experience. We also offer advanced seminars!
Basic Woodshop for Beginners
This is a 4 hour class. Class size is limited to four students and covers project layout, safe operation of both machine and hand tools, identifying and selecting wood stock, and coaching for techniques in joinery. Each student will use various tools in a “hands on” and closely supervised session. See photos of our wood shop work area here!
Woodshop for Women
This class was developed in response to a number of requests from women who felt that they might be more comfortable in a setting where there was no perceived “macho” environment. Please make note that the class covers the same material as the “basic woodshop for beginners” class.
This is a 4 hour class. Advanced Woodshop Techniques
This is an 8 hour class. Although it is usually a full day event, we occasionally break it into two days. Each day consists of one 4 hour session. Class size is limited to three students and covers the set up, tuning, and safe operation of stationary woodshop machines. See photos of our wood shop work area here!
